Millinocket Memorial Library

Patrons can borrow books and other material from  public libraries or academic institutions throughout the state of Maine. If an in-state search is unsuccessful, the library can have a country-wide search arranged.

Patrons can come to the library during normal business hours and fill out an Interlibrary Loan Request Form. You also have the choice of sending an email request to

Either way, your request is processed, and when the book arrives (usually within a week or less), you will be notified by phone. It's as simple as that!

It is also possible to view our collection on the Internet. The library is a member of SOLAR (Statewide Online Loaning and Requesting), and Maine InfoNet.

You can point your browser to: for SOLAR holdings for Maine InfoNet library holdings

However, please note that, at the present time, you cannot request materials from these sites. You can see if the material you want to borrow is there, and then request it by any of the means mentioned above.

This procedure may change in the near future as plans are being developed to allow for patron requesting from libraries and homes. We will post that information to this site when the time comes.
